Description
Le Chat du Marquis is among the most exclusive cuvées of Domaine du Clos des Fées and is only produced in exceptional years.
The wine comes from a specific vineyard in Vingrau whose grapes were originally intended for the famous cuvée Images Dérisoires. Due to the exceptional quality, Hervé Bizeul decided to make a separate prestige cuvée from it.
This 100% Tempranillo combines enormous concentration with finesse and elegance. Thanks to long aging sur lie in new oak barrels, the wine develops impressive complexity, structure, and aging potential.
Le Chat du Marquis is a powerful yet refined wine that perfectly reflects the identity of the Vingrau terroir and is rare, intense, and distinctly gastronomic.
Producer
Domaine du Clos des Fées was founded by Hervé Bizeul and is one of the absolute top producers in Roussillon. The domain is known for extremely low yields, old vines, and terroir-driven wines with immense concentration and finesse. The wines of Clos des Fées enjoy international cult status and are among the most sought-after wines from Southern France.
