Tasting Notes

Color: bright straw yellow with subtle greenish reflections.

Nose: intensely aromatic with notes of eucalyptus, mint, sweet Mediterranean herbs, pear, apple, citrus, and bergamot. An expressive and characterful nose that immediately reveals the identity of the Pecorino grape.

Palate: fresh, lively, and mineral with great tension. The wine combines ripe white fruit with fresh citrus acidity and a striking minerality. The long finish is characterized by notes of citrus, herbs, and a refined salinity.

Structure

Aromatic, fresh, and mineral with great length and elegance.

Maturation

In stainless steel tanks followed by a short bottle aging.

Vineyard

From own vineyards in Morro d'Oro and Notaresco in the province of Teramo, Abruzzo.

Soil

Clayey soils with excellent water management and good mineral properties.

Terroir

The vineyards are located at an altitude of approximately 300 meters with an eastern exposure. The combination of the Adriatic Sea and the nearby Apennine Mountains creates large temperature differences between day and night, resulting in grapes with intense aromas, lively acidity, and a distinct minerality.

Cultivation & Vinification

  • Own vineyards
  • Single Guyot pruning system
  • Harvest in the first half of September
  • Soft pressing
  • Temperature-controlled fermentation for approximately 12 days at 15°C
  • Aging in stainless steel
  • Short bottle aging for extra harmony and complexity
