Tasting notes
Colour: a deep, impenetrable burgundy red colour with an intense and powerful appearance.
Nose: an intense and complex bouquet of red fruit in alcohol, such as cherry and plum, harmoniously combined with refined and persistent spicy notes.
Taste: a powerful and full start with a rich, velvety structure. The wine is characterized by a clear and elegant tannin structure, perfectly balanced. The flavours of concentrated fruit and spices provide a long, persistent and harmonious finish.
Structure
A full-bodied and characterful wine with a firm but refined tannin structure, excellently balanced and with a long persistence.
Aging
40 months aged in oak barrels (15–30 hl), followed by 5 months bottle aging.
Aging & Potential
Ready to drink now, with excellent aging potential for further development in the bottle.
Food Pairing
Excellent to combine with:
- Red meat
- Slow-cooked stews
- Game dishes
- Aged cheeses
- Also very suitable as a meditation wine

Located in Marano di Valpolicella, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico zone
Soil
Calcareous alluvial soil with an average structure
Location
230 – 250 metres above sea level with optimal sun exposure
Vines
Age of the vines: 10 to 40 years
Cultivation & Method
- Manual harvest with careful selection of the grapes
- Traditional drying process (appassimento) of approximately 5 months on bamboo racks
- Cold maceration (1–2°C) for maximum aroma concentration
- Spontaneous fermentation for 20–25 days at controlled temperature
- Natural vinification with a focus on concentration and complexity
