Tasting Notes

Colour: a deep ruby red colour that evolves to a burgundy red with aging.

Nose: an intense bouquet of red fruit such as cherry and redcurrant, combined with refined spicy notes.

Taste: a well-balanced start with a full body and a beautiful structure. The tannins are rich and well-integrated, resulting in a powerful yet elegant wine with a persistent finish.

Structure

A rich and structured wine with a beautiful balance between power and finesse, typical of the Ripasso style.

Aging

Aged for 12 months in medium-sized wooden barrels (10–15 hl), followed by 4 months of bottle aging.

Aging & Potential

Ready to drink, with good aging potential for further development.

Wine-food pairing

Excellent to combine with:

  • Grilled red meat
  • Stewed meat
  • Aged cheeses

Vineyard

Located in the hills of the Valpolicella Classico region, at an altitude of 200–250 meters

Soil

Alluvial soil on calcareous basalt, with excellent sun exposure

Terroir

Vineyards partly laid out on terraces with traditional dry stone walls (“marogne”)

Cultivation & Process
