Tasting Notes
Colour: a deep ruby red colour that evolves to a burgundy red with aging.
Nose: an intense bouquet of red fruit such as cherry and redcurrant, combined with refined spicy notes.
Taste: a well-balanced start with a full body and a beautiful structure. The tannins are rich and well-integrated, resulting in a powerful yet elegant wine with a persistent finish.
Structure
A rich and structured wine with a beautiful balance between power and finesse, typical of the Ripasso style.
Aging
Aged for 12 months in medium-sized wooden barrels (10–15 hl), followed by 4 months of bottle aging.
Aging & Potential
Ready to drink, with good aging potential for further development.

Excellent to combine with:
- Grilled red meat
- Stewed meat
- Aged cheeses
Vineyard
Located in the hills of the Valpolicella Classico region, at an altitude of 200–250 meters
Soil
Alluvial soil on calcareous basalt, with excellent sun exposure
Terroir
Vineyards partly laid out on terraces with traditional dry stone walls (“marogne”)
Cultivation & Process
- Traditional harvest with pressing at the end of November
- Fermentation of 15–18 days for the base wine
- Second fermentation according to the Ripasso method (refermentation on Amarone skins)
- This technique provides extra concentration, body and complexity
