Tasting notes

Color: deep ruby red color with elegant purple reflections.

Nose: intense and complex aromas of ripe blackberries, black cherries, and Morello cherries, complemented by notes of licorice, graphite, black pepper, tobacco, and refined balsamic notes.

Palate: powerful, warm, and elegant with a full structure. Ripe black fruit is beautifully supported by subtle wood influences, spices, and a refined minerality. The silky tannins provide an impressive balance and a long, layered finish.

Structure

Full-bodied, powerful, and harmonious with great depth, refined tannins, and a long, elegant finish.

Maturation

18 to 24 months of maturation in new 300-liter French oak barriques, followed by at least 3 months of bottle aging.

Producer

Velenosi Vini was founded in 1984 by Angela and Ercole Velenosi and quickly grew into one of the most renowned wineries in Le Marche.

Operating from Ascoli Piceno, the family business works with its own vineyards spread across the hills between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennine Mountains. By combining modern winemaking techniques with the region's rich wine traditions, Velenosi produces wines that are highly valued internationally.

The winery is regularly among the highest-rated producers in Italy and was included in Wine Spectator's list of leading Italian wineries.
